How to configure Batch in PCS 7

1. Before configuring BATCH, it is necessary to configure the BATCH Application or Batch Client Application in the HW Config of the PC Station. Batch production

related operations can be completed on one computer (Batch single site structure) or multiple computers (Batch server/client structure): - Batch single site structure

is suitable for small-scale batch production processes where BATCH project configuration, recipe editing, and publishing are all completed on one computer.

BATCH can be installed together with the engineer station or OS operation station, or installed independently- In medium to large-scale batch production process

units, an independent BATCH server and BATCH client station are required to meet the needs of BATCH data stability, formula editing and publishing according to

different job responsibilities during the production process. In this case, the server/client structure is suitable. BATCH's redundant servers and clients can be installed

on PCS 7 OS servers or operator stations, or they can be installed independently.

2. In a single station configuration, the Batch server and Batch client are centralized on the same computer, so it is necessary to insert BATCH Application and

BATCH A Application Client into the PC Station. In the server/client architecture configuration, BATCH data is stored in the BATCH server, and the editing and

publishing of BATCH master formulas, the creation and control of batch production tasks, etc. are completed on the BATCH client. Therefore, it is necessary to

configure the BATCH server and client separately in two PC stations.

3. Before configuring BATCH, it is necessary to define the corresponding type for the hierarchical folder of the project according to S88 (which needs to be

created in advance). The hierarchical folder of the defined type will modify its icon, while the hierarchical folder of S88 and the regular hierarchical folder can

work side by side and contain each other normally.

4. Process cells are logical groups of devices/equipment (containers, actuators, sensors, etc.) used to create one or more batches. The process unit determines

a range within the factory area, within which a device based batch control system can be configured. Within a project, only one 'Process cell' hierarchical folder

can be created. For example: aggregation workshop, printing and dyeing workshop, etc. Only units and equipment stages created under 'Process cell' are available

for editing the main recipe. In a multi project structure, a 'Process Cell' object can be defined for each individual project. During the batch configuration process,

the batch information under the "process unit" of each individual project will be automatically unified together. Define 'Process cell'.

5. Setting Unit type Unit is an important concept in batch production, and formulas are divided into each formula stage by calling units. Multiple units can be

defined in a process unit and used in a master formula, but to avoid conflicts, each unit can only be assigned once in a batch of production formulas.

6. The equipment level that needs to be used in the formula under the unit level of the Equipment Module (EMOD) type needs to define the attribute of level

S88 as "Equipment Module (EMOD)". Multiple equipment modules can be defined in one unit, such as batching machines or filling machines. Multiple device

stages can be created for device modules, such as heating, cooling, or emptying. Define 'device module'.

7. Setting SFC Type in BATCH control center, each unit and phase of the control formula will communicate with the units and equipment modules in the automation

system during runtime, and exchange set values, process values, current status, or control commands. The device module can include device phases (EPH) or device

operations (EOP). Before calling an instance of SFC type, it is necessary to assign a batch production category of "EPH" or "EOP" to the SFC type. In this way

information related to S88.01 will be automatically created during the subsequent type generation process.
