The new VersaView 6300 series industrial PC, monitor, and thin client solutions help customers enhance configurability and asset utilization, enabling faster time-to
-market, reduced total cost of ownership, and lowered security risks.
(July 8, 2020, Shanghai, China) Recently, Rockwell Automation (NYSE: ROK) announced the launch of the VersaView 6300 series Allen-Bradley industrial computers,
which will be available for shipment starting in August 2020. The launch of the VersaView 6300 series is another move by Rockwell Automation following its acquisition
of ASEM S.p.A. in May 2020, significantly enhancing the company's capabilities in industrial PCs (IPC), human-machine interfaces (HMI), and secure industrial IoT remote
access solutions.
With this acquisition, Rockwell Automation has also established an advanced R&D and excellence manufacturing center in Italy, enhancing its ability to provide highly
configurable and customized solutions for global customers. This series of products is specifically designed to withstand demanding industrial environmental conditions,
including wash applications in the food processing and life sciences industries.
The initial supply range of the new product includes a variety of monitors, industrial PCs, tablets, thin clients, and remote connection products. Other models and
customizable options of the new product will be launched within the next year, further enhancing Rockwell Automation's industrial computing product portfolio.
The VersaView 6300 is part of Rockwell Automation's industrial IoT computing product portfolio, which can transmit industrial IoT data to smart devices, machines,
and decision-making locations throughout the factory. The VersaView 6300 helps to improve the productivity and efficiency of interconnected enterprises, especially
in the areas of visualization and data integration.
Susana Gonzalez, President of Rockwell Automation Europe, Middle East and Africa, said at the launch event: "I am thrilled and excited to bring ASEM's technical
expertise into our product portfolio with the launch of the VersaView 6300 series. Europe has always been a leading market for industrial computing technology.
Our advanced technology research and manufacturing center in Italy will benefit our customers, especially machine manufacturers, not only in Europe, the Middle
East and Africa, but also globally."
ASEM President and CEO Renzo Guerra said: "The VersaView product line incorporates cutting-edge technology and reflects ASEM's longstanding tradition of
excellence, consistent high quality, and innovation that has been upheld over the past 40 years. This also marks a new chapter for ASEM in Italy, where we will
continue to support our existing customers and develop advanced industrial automation computing technologies, while expanding into new markets globally."
With the VersaView 6300 Series, Rockwell Automation will be able to keep pace with the constantly evolving trends in IPC technology, such as providing highly
expandable tablets like the VersaView 6300P, which will give machine manufacturers greater flexibility to access and manage related data through industrial
computers. Additionally, as thin clients become a more attractive, secure, and efficient content transfer method within server-based computing architectures, the
VersaView 6300T thin client with ThinManager support can provide a range of alternatives within the Rockwell Automation ecosystem. Furthermore, the highly
configurable industrial PC (VersaView 6300B) and remote access products expand the initial product range, enabling Rockwell Automation to quickly and widely
enhance its ability to provide high-level IPC hardware, thereby complementing its well-known software offerings.
Rockwell Automation Europe, Middle East and Africa Visualization Product Manager Bart Nieuwborg said: "The VersaView 6300 series will be available for delivery
in the coming months, and we are now providing customers with full technical details and specifications so they can consider incorporating the new product into
their ongoing and future investment plans. We are very pleased that, on the one hand, we can provide customers with comprehensive customization capabilities
through the newly established high-level industrial computing solutions R&D and manufacturing center; on the other hand, we will continue to build our product
portfolio in the coming months and in the longer term."
